- A good bait to use is salmon eggs and silver spinners the spinners are better when you are trolling because we caught 7 rainbow trout the salmon eggs are ok we caught only 2. We caught the 2 trout on the ledges of the points of the lake and when we caught the 7 trout while trolling by the points of the lake but it might be different if you go cause the water is 44 degrees and the trout are most likely to move to the bottom.

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

New Moon fishing can be at its best. The gravitational pull on the earth is at its peak when the moon and sun are rising and setting at the same time of day. This combination can generate extraordinary fishing opportunities especially if combined with perfect weather variances. The new moon may have the fish extremely aggressive and actively hunting for food. Try fishing a little faster today and with several different baits and techniques. When fish are more aggressive, its always fun to fish a little more aggressive. Watch the peak fishing times and make sure you are on the water during that part of the day to take full advantage of today?s solar/lunar peaks. Have a great day!
