Taylorsville Lake Largemouth Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- try white spinner baits or grubs around brush piles and drifts
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
At 56 degree water temperature largemouth bass fishing is in pre-spawn now. It's time to get fishing. Female bass are going to be moving up to the spawning beds. Male largemouth bass will be starting to build the spawning nests in protected coves. Bass prefer to spawn in weedy and woody cover deep in coves that will be protected from the wind and other elements. This is the best time to catch the lake record bass. The female bass will be feeding until they reach the beds and start the spawn. The smaller male bass will be attacking lures also. It is on like donkey kong!!! Hit the water NOW, we can?t believe you are reading this and not fishing right now. GET OUT!!

Smallmouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
With the water temperature at 56 degrees smallmouth bass fishing is ready to heat up for spring. The bass will be starting to move into their spawning area. Smallmouth bass will generally spawn on rock and gravel bottoms that are protected from the elements. It's time to get fishing and look for staging bass in deeper water.

Taylorsville Lake Crappie Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Crappie should be getting ready to spawn. Stay out in deeper water and look for schools. Schooling shad will be harder to find with this water temperature so when you find it, stay on it. Crappie schools will be breaking up quite a bit getting ready for the spawn. Also try fishing shallower with small crank baits and spinners on the warm banks with direct sunlight. This is a great time to be on the water.

Taylorsville Lake Walleye Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The walleye are coming off of the spawn now. Fish will be feeding very more aggressive making up for lost time eating during the spawn. Walleye will start moving back to their typical structure of choice and should be getting into the lake flats and deep structure. It?s time to hit the water. This may be the best water temperature to be on the water. There shouldn?t be too many fishermen on the water this early and there are many species that are hitting their prime water temperatures to be biting very well. Have fun today!
Taylorsville Lake Catfish Rating:
3.5
Taylorsville Lake Catfish Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- 3 nice size cats yesterday bluegill fishing. worm with float about 6 feet deep 20 yards out in 25 ft of water - pretty odd, but no doubt about them being hungry the way they were nailing it. Only bites when the breeze moved from the east, no bites while breeze from the soutwest.
Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they arenít going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

preferred bait of the striped and hybrid bass are live shad stay in water
under 20 feet for the most active fish when water reaches 55 degrees these

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
