2 Large mouth caught. 1 about 12 inch weighed at 1.6 and another small fried not worth tossing on the scale. 2 got away. Peek seemed to be about 3-5+ I had to get going around 5:30. these were caught in the inlet north of the Old Church.

"Three bass caught on 4/22/10 between 16:45 and 19:45. They were feeding at the top and hit a Silver Fox gold vibrex minnow spinner (1) and a shad colored medium jerkbait (2). Wouldn't touch powerbait, jigs, or conventional spinners. They were about a pound, half a pound, and half a pound respectively. Caught near the Sunken Church."

Crappies will be deep and much more sluggish now than in warmer temperature water. They are definitely catchable if you know a few tips. Check the main river channels in deep water. Catching crappie from 25 all they down below 60 feet deep is not uncommon for this time of year. Vertical presentations work best in winter. Fish straight down below the boat using minnows, and other live bait, or really good scented bait. Kentucky Rigged baits and spoons jigged vertically and nice and slow work great also. Good luck!

- Rainbows south of the bridge in the river channel, slip sinker with a 2-3" leader using #10 hook with power bait orange dough trout bait. 3 fish this morning 2- 14"-16" 1-19", female had eggs, probably staging at the mouth of the river for the run up the ladder.
