"04-09-10 Light Wind, Surface Water Temp @ 3:00 P.M. 64 Degrees. I caught 9 nice sized Males, 11""-12.5"" fishing with Minnows on the bottom. I don't beleive the full blown run has started. My fishing Log shows that the surface Temp needs to be 68 Degrees. After that it is ON!! for about 10-14 days. Good luck to all. May casts be few and your catches be many. See you on the water."

Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The water temperature is climbing and the catfish will start becoming more active now. The catfish spawn is right around the corner and generally all catfish species will be looking to spawn. Blue catfish, flathead and channel catfish spawn in much the same areas. Mostly spawning in deep tree lay downs that have lots of shade, holes in the bank, sunken barrels and tires. With baitfish becoming active, it?s time to catch some small sunfish, bluegill, shad and frogs and getting the line in the water.

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
